Antique Hungarian Teckno bowl

Hungary, early 1900’s

This beautiful hand carved Hungarian bowl, known as Teckno bowl is just under a metre long and displays a rich and raw patina. Often referred to as dough bowls, they were actually used for salting meat almost a century ago. All our bowls have been lovingly restored in the New Forest, England by our master restorer with decades of experience behind him. It has also been treated with a traditional osmosis process to remove any unwanted remnants that may occur with antique wooden items.
