Rare antique hand carved Hungarian round bowl

Hungary, early 1900’s

Beautiful hand carved Hungarian bowl. These round bowls are very much less common than the oblong variety. Often referred to as dough bowls, they were actually used for salting meat almost a century ago. All our bowls have been lovingly restored in the New Forest, England by our master restorer with decades of experience behind him. It has also been treated with a traditional osmosis process to remove any unwanted remnants that may occur with antique wooden items.

This particular bowl has been repaired with a leather patch, adding character to the already rich patina
